What is a DMZ?
Dimethazine is a prohormone that is sold as a synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid. Dimethazine is a methyldienolone derivative that has two extra methyl groups.
Dimethazine has been studied under both in vitro and in vivo metabolic conditions, and methasterone has been seen to degrade from dimethazine. In addition to the parent molecule, both models were able to identify methasterone and six additional dimethazine metabolites (M1-M6), all of which are methasterone metabolites.
Dimethazine, sometimes referred to as DMZ, is a man-made anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) that was initially created and researched in Italy in the 1960s.
How does DMZ Work?
DMZ is a derivative of the anabolic steroid methasterone. Like other designer steroids, DMZ is designed to be more potent than testosterone and has a longer half-life, which means it remains active for a longer period of time.
In experimental models, exposure to DMZ results in interaction with the androgen receptor in a manner analogous to testosterone. This interaction triggers comparable intracellular signaling pathways and induces transcriptional regulation.
In a study for Dimethazine, the growth rate of the fish was observed, giving a 50% increase in weight gain over a period of 60 days. The study was primarily aimed at investigating the mechanism of protein metabolism involved in the action of Dimethazine. Dimethazine is hypothesized to increase growth and protein metabolism by attaching to androgen receptors in the body. This stimulates pathways that boost protein synthesis and limit protein breakdown, resulting in an increase in skeletal muscle hypertrophy.
In experimental models, dimethazine and norethandrolone have demonstrated a more selective activity on skeletal muscle-associated pathways and protein metabolic processes.
